Description

Sunday October 20 – Arrive in Basel or Frankfurt.  Trains or vans to Eichstetten, Germany. Stay in the village with the 400 year old winery where Geoff makes his Insania wine with the Rinklin family. Welcome drinks when you arrive at the winery and distillery and a tour of where Geoff’s wine is made. Get to know one another and the musicians who will be hosting you during the week.

Monday October 21 – Slow morning walking through the village. In the afternoon the winery owners will take us on a wagon ride pulled behind a tractor through the picturesque vineyards. We will visit a local lookout tower and hear Friedhelm Rinklin speak about the vineyards while drinking wine in private unknown scenic spots. scenery. Later in the evening we will have a BBQ in the vineyards.

Tuesday October 22 – Wake up have breakfast and head to a 60 acre Monkey sanctuary where the monkeys roam free and you are allowed to hand feed them. Next tour a perfectly preserved medieval Castle. Come home and have sing along with Geoff and the other musicians in the winery.

Wednesday October 23 – We all have breakfast in the winery together. After breakfast visit French town of Colmar which is called little Venice for its beautiful canals. After lunch we are going to the storybook village of Riquwher France. We will visit a beautiful lovely old french winery and taste incredible wines. In the evening we will travel a short distance to a restaurant in the hills outside of Riquwher.

Thursday October 24 – We will drive through the mountains to a park with multiple alpine slides. Spend the day riding the various slides if you dare and enjoying the mountain splendor and local zoo.

Friday October 25 – Visit Triberg the famous village where the cuckoo clock got it’s start in the black forest. Hike to a magnificent waterfalls to get a full Black Forest experience.

Saturday October 26 – Wake up to another breakfast at the winery and train a short distance to the beautiful medieval town of Freiburg Germany. We will visit a giant cathedral founded in the year 1200 and climb the steps to the bell tower.  We can spend the day in the beautiful shops and drink wine in the square where the town hosts a daily open market. Short train back to the big party and show in the evening where you will be all access VIP!

Sunday October 27 – Return to Frankfurt and Basel for our flights home.
